FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Three people were shot during a graduation ceremony for Sem Yeto High School on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2026, at the Fairfield High School campus, according to local officials.

The shooting occurred during or shortly after the commencement ceremony held at Fairfield High School, located at 205 East Atlantic Avenue in Fairfield, California. Emergency responders and law enforcement officers quickly converged on the campus following reports of gunfire, prompting a major police response and concern among graduates, family members, and staff attending the event.

Suisun City Mayor Alma Hernandez initially reported on social media that three high school students had been shot.
